Great Model Railroads 2004, Thanks Andy!!

Andy Sperandeo's editorial in Great Model Railroads 2004, entitled "Make it a habit", was most inspirational. I enlarged it to 8 1/2 X 11, and placed copies near the TV and computer as a constant reminder. It worked, in the last 3 weeks I've made more progress on my layout than I have in the last 3 years, and it feels good!

Thanks Andy, I needed that.[:)]

I agree, it is insprirational. I try to do 1-2 hours a day on my layout however, doctor appointments and "honey-do's" sometimes over rule my desire to work on the layout. I have been working on the layout now for about 6 months and day-by-day it doesn't seem to grow (guess I'm counting too many rivets [:D]). However, when I step back and look at the layout I realize that it has come a long way. I remember the day I brought home the wood for the benchwork and plywood for the sub-roadbed. Now that all the big cutting and building is done and some of the track is laid, it is finally starting to "look like" a model railroad rather than a pile of scrap wood that I glued & screwed together.

Hey Snake, I know that feeling too. It sounds like the story of my house, still under construction after 4 years. Maybe that's why my wife is divorcing me, she could never step back and see the progress. Oh well, her loss, now I can work on my layout without worrying what anybody else thinks.

I try to do what it says all the time, just get little bits at a time and it will add up.

I'm sorry to here about that, my best regards to you. But hey, look on the "bright" side, more time for the layout!
