Thanks. Those are great things your LHS is doing. I mention that to the place I frequent.

I did get some flex track. I am going to build some shelves and need to store some of the rolling stock so I can start "building the other end of the layout where I have all the rolling stck stored. But mostly it was about her.

Sounds fun! My not so local LHS has a Thomas room and layout for the kids. I was really surprised at how much of that stuff they sell. They have a Thomas play day for the kids once or twice a month.

Another fine weekend . My daughter turned two this weekend (boy am I a sucker for those big blue eyes, blond hair and a smile that lights up like the sun) and I took her to the LHS . Its a great place to take my kids. They have an ankle height table that they can play with wooden trains also there are trains running around the ceiling (and across it ), and an O gauge layout that the children can push a button and make a train run or some other part of the set move.I digress. While there she took a special liking to the n scale (probably closer to her size) but I directed her to the Thomas the train display and we bought her her first "choo-choo". We also bought her her first piece of rolling stock,a Thomas passenger car. On the way home she fell asleep in the car set holding the engine. I cant wait until this Saturday when she has her formal 2nd birthday and we can go down and run her "choo-choo" What a great weekend!Happy B-Day [bday] my little angel.
