I could if I would, seriously.
Right now it is in a state of disrepair undergoing a change
for better operations. It is in an ugly stage now. TRASHED !!!
To post a photo at this time would not do me justice, I do have
plans on creating a sight when it does operate correctly and I
feel it is presentable. At the same time, I will be hosting an
open house to celebrate the occasion.

In the process of being built,mine is 9x 11 n scale and features 64 turnouts,a 4 track hidden staging yard.DCC cab control and uses traditional methods of Benchwork and hardshell scenery.It features a heavy iron ore hauler(Dm&IR) that interchanges with 2 class 1's (NP and GN)and has shared trackage with 1 of them (Great Northern)It will feature a large yard and servicing area.a large city and port,a small ore classification yard and 1 additional small town.it will include several rail served manufacturers and is set in the late 50's when steam was still running alongside U Boats,sd-7's and 9's
Geeps RS units etc. a smaller road (the D&NE) will also show its face on occassion in the form of a bachmann connie(still sporting its DM&IR livery from whence it came) .Atlas came out with a pair of SD-9's in DM&IR at the perfect time.Merry Christmas to me :)

Glen,
The texture is the result of the shaping of the foam. I used a hacksaw blade to rough in the shape of the mountains . Then I used a rasp to smooth out and blend it all together. I also carved rocks in some areas with the saw blade. All seams were then filled with drywall joint compound ( smear it on with your finger) . Then when dry everything was smoothed out with 60 grit sandpaper.
I had quite a mess going while I was doing this. Nothing the shop-vac couldn't handle though.
I plan to put a couple of coats of latex paint to seal it and provide the base color, add some ground foam in certain areas, then airbru***he final colors.
By the way, the 2" foam I use is the beaded type no one seams to like. It works for me. ???

Nice stuff Ray, your live steamer project is awe inspiring, very clever. I hope your firing problems have been solved. Two thoughts for heating water, Butane or NiCad, a portable soldering iron could provide the parts.
