Great news! I am about as far as you are on my new 4x8 addition to my BMRR, an expansion project that will make bald mt. 19' by 4' with a 4' leg. I have gottem about half of my roadbed done, and about a half of that half that is done is painted and ready for ballast, which I need to get more of both (roadbed and ballast). Pretty exciting stuff though. Good luck!

FINALLY got back to working on the layout

Today, after about a year of doing nothing, I finally got back to building my 4'x7' layout!Big Smile There isn't really anything to see yet, but so far I've finished gluing the cork roadbed down.Big Smile Next will be some cleaning (that cork makes a mess!), and then I'll put buildings, roads, sidewalks, and trees on, then the foam grass, and after that the bushes and ballast, and then some final detailing.Big Smile

Here's the basic idea of what my plan for the layout is:

Just a quick image I made in Paint. The lines are track, the squares are buildings, the fuzzy spots are trees, and then there's roads and sidewalks. I got bored drawing the ballast, so it ended up not getting finished.
