I like SW switchers, am probably going to look at those, not sure if they will be Athearn though. I checked out the just the regular Athearn RTR's, and they seemed a little steep. I have and old BB GP35 Chessie that I love, might see to add another GP35 or maybe a GP19. And yes, it is post CSX merger, and an old weathered Conrail seems like something CSX would lease off to a sub-division. Thanks!

Some of my favorite models! I probably will go with a Atlas Trainman RS something, will have to look a little harder at those two models to decide which. I most likely will go ahead and get a undec and give it a custom BMRR livery. I have two GP38-2's, my favorite models, but I'm trying to add a little more non-EMD power. Thanks for the reply!
I would use an old (weathered) road switcher. Judging from the CSX, is it post-conrail merger? If so, something like a heavily weathered CR blue gp 35 or 38 will work. Also, I'm not sure how much you are willing to spend, but check out athearn (RTR and Genesis)
Finally, why not just use a switcher? How about an MP 15 or SW ? HTH

The Missabe Road: Safety First
As some of you know, I'm starting on another 4x8 layout, mainly as use for the industrial/downtown area of my BMRR. The BMRR currently uses EMD GP40's and GP38-2's as the motive power, mainline and all (mainline is only a scale mile long before it connects to CSX lines). So, I've been looking around and wondering about the best DC models. Proto 2000 models look nice and crisp, I also like Atlas products, the new Trainman lines looks really cool. I'm not in the market for a large loco, just something that can handle 18" Radi flawlessly and looks great switching a group of cars. What unit/manufacturer do you guys think as appropriate? TIA...
