Help finding mantua parts
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, November 28, 2003 3:51 PM
TextI have a mantua General Steam engine that needs a drive shaft. I have had no luck in finding one or a replacement part that would work. Can anyone help me with this?

Model Power ran an ad in Model Railroader that included an email address as well as the website for Mantua locomotives being released by Model Power.

website: www.modelpower.com

You might try Northwest Shortline. They make several types of driveshaft/universal joint combinations The URL is www.nwsl.com

Another alternative is having the part fabricated at a short-run machine shop. You might be able to locate one through your LHS.

You might also try your local model railroad club. Likely someone has a parts box with what you need or may be willing to fabricate one for you.
