Boxes, and more boxes.
Posted by preceng on Thursday, November 27, 2003 8:32 PM
Greetings again.

Thus far in my MRR career, I have ben saving the boxes that locos and rolling stock are purchased in. I am starting to amass quite a stack. Is there a good reason to save these (particularly the ones for equipment that never leaves the layout), or is this not crucial, or is this a purely personal decision?

All thoughts welcomed.

I save my boxes to, But I save them purely for the purpose of protected model transport. Saving the box is purely a personal matter.

If you ever decide to sell the pricey items some buyers like to have the box. I find this true when I sell back
to our second hand hobby shop or if you sell on e-bay

Also if you ever have to return the loco for service.

Save the box.................. If you ever decide to sell anything it is ALLWAYS worth more in it's original box. Especially brass.
