Finding Herald King Decals
Posted by rm7blake on Thursday, November 13, 2003 7:36 PM
I understand that Herald King (decal manufactureres) went out of business last year, partly because of the very high quality of current manufacturing and partly because many modelers simply don't have the time to decorate their own kits anymore. I found Herald King decals to be excellent and they had many decal sets that I cannot find from either Champ or Microscale.

I'm trying to find out if there is any source for these decal sets other than those that may be squirreled away in numerous hobby shops around the country.

Does anyone have suggestions or know of sources?

The only thing you can do is hunt on EBAY. Look under Herald King or Miller. There are a couple of guys I had contact with that were trying to hoard these for resale. The problem is eventually they will dissappear. I will look thru my stuff for a name.... I had a computer crash and never backed up my contacts....lost quite a bit on that. I do recall one guy telling me he had contacted the people in charge of Herald King to buy their artwork so he could try to carry on, but they basically ignored him.
