Has anyone tried using moisture curing polyurethane adhesives like Gorilla glue? Since the glue is polyurethane shouldn't it work without dissolving the foam?

Latex caulk is another good choice.

I have a bit of white glue hanging around as a matter of fact. I did not realize that was an option as well. Whatever is cheap, easy and effective is good enough for me.
If I'm trying to cover a large area, I use Titebond II wood glue, thinned down so I can use a short nap roller to apply the glue. It covers quickly and dries pretty fast.....I have a large supply of old Walthers catalogs that I use as dead weight to hold the foam in place until it dries.

Research; it's not just for geeks.
I used liquid nails, and I don't have any complaints here. Very good product in my opinion.
