Cheap heavy hairspray will do that. Light coats of a better grade of spray won't. Krylon matte finish works well too.(light coats) I've heard of a craft product that is a spray cleaner/rejuvinator for artificial flowers. Just spray it on your forests and it cleans the dust and dirt off. Probably get it at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

They look good to me. I live in a desert valley and the trees look dust covered all the time, especially the eucalyptus( probably spelled wrong ). Your trees would be a great addition for my layout.

I'd try misting them with a light spray of green paint until they look right to you. The overlapping layers of color should give good texture to the trees. Sometimes the best effects come by accident from efforts to salvage something that went wrong.

Trees look white after hair spray

I made some trees from linchen and after I was done I sprayed them with hairspray as I've done before.  The problem is they took on a whiter color than I really would like.  Any suggestions to salvage the trees?

Thanks

Jim
