Sounds great Patrick, can't wait to see the pix! That thing had a few hundred pieces in it if I remember correctly - be prepared to spend alot of time on it.
Guess you need to wait for better weather before you start building that outdoor train shed, eh?

Started on a morgan crane last night. My crane will be modeled after Dean Freytags work of art. I first saw Deans crane in the book entitled "Making & modeling steel", I had the thought....it doesn't look all that hard to build. Guess ,I'll find out how hard it is to build.
I started off by tracing a old Walthers turnable structure on a blank sheet of styrene. Then by cutting four pieces,these will be used as the main spans.The design is a twin span,heavy duty ladle charging crane. Deans crane is so well done,if you looked at the real crane,you couldn't tell the difference between them.
This crane will be housed in the BOF building to be used as a charging crane, for either the scrap box or a ladle .
Hopefully mine atempt will turn out something like deans work of art.Should have something for pictures in the next few weeks,that is if the wife doesn't pester me with the dreaded honey do list.
