The same thing happened to me about a year and a half ago with a BLI. My hobby shop said to bring it back and we tried it on their tesrt track, with the same result. So they swapped me out with another. It's under warranty, so why bother messing with it and possibly voiding the warranty. Good luck.

Need Help on New Engine
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 2:08 PM
I just bought one of the Athearn Genesis SD45-2 w/ dcc and sound.  My layout is a DC hookup.  I brought it home and the engine would not move forward.  It worked at the hobby shop.  Anyways, I called the hobby shop and they told me to bring it in tomorrow.  I was just wondering if there was something that I was doing wrong so I don't waste a trip if I don't have to.
