well...local train shows, ebay, or on here. All listed ideas are viable options with advantages and disadvantages. Ebay is sound and has people backing you if someone tries to stiff you. train shows are good because you will talk with real people (finding a local train club is a very good thought). I dont know much about selling on here, beyond the fact that I believe they have classified. Just for the sake of knowing; what are you selling and how much are you asking?
