Ok I havent been working much on my layout or model railroad projects I have sitting around, but tonight I am busy printing up decals for a job I had and I have time to waste so I decided to check somethings out. I decided I wanted my SW1500 to have directional lighting. I am using a Lenz small decoder in it, and a 1.5V Miniatronics small ligh bulb for the rear and I am planning on redoing the front lighjts when I find the rest of the bulbs. Anyhow I still have to pick up the decoder for the it since I dont want to mess up the decoder I have (Trip to walthers Thursday woo hoo) Anyway I did a test fit for the light bulb and found out it just fits between the roof and the glass. I then painted the Top of the glass/window black to the light cant shine through. Ontop of that I made it so the wires are hidden behind one of the window frames. So thats pretty much it until I go to walthers and wire it up. Have a good one.

Well the paint didnt stick to well to the window glass so I stripped that off and used a black magic marker seemed to work better after a few coats. I have the window and light installed. I also installed some Bachmann Spectrum engineers in the cab area. I just finished getting the motor ready to do soldering when I get the decoder. I removed the brass clip on bottom of motor, I then snapped off the wipers. I covered the bare metal contact on the frame with electrical tape )2 pieces). After I got the headlight brackeff I reinstalled the motor so I dont lose anything.
