Workin' on the railroad. Cut fascia and valance today. Not having a shop, Home Labrinth makes better cuts than I can. Let's say - hanging valance and fasica. Looking a brand of 24" under cabinet lights from WALLY that plug together end to end for lighting. Might not be enough only 14watts when normal shop lights are 34w.

I really don't have much to add, but since I fixed my camera tonight I figured I should put something in here to help keep the thread going.

This is my Turtle Creek Central engine.  It is a repowered, regeared GP which started life as an Athearn BB chassis with a junk shell from somewhere or other.  The thing is noisy and rattles something fierce, but it is a heavy puller and has excellent slow speed control.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!  Smile [:)]

Guy!

NICE scene. Your trackwork looks real strong. I love the long strings of hoppers. That's how a coal scene should look.

Great progress Ray.

I finally got the trestle installed and the track layed, sort of. I learned you don't start this size project the week before an open house. Here are some pics of the first train across. The installation crew was being picked up. A landscapping crew is scheduled to arrive on Monday.

Here is the long shot

Here it is from the river

Here it is from the high bridge

The engine is the new Y3. The first car is a very old Ambroid kit. The blacksmith car is so old I don't remember what it started out as.

Next is to start on the lake, second falls and the river. Then I can finish the rest of the canyon walls.

If you think you have it right, your standards are too low. my photos http://s12.photobucket.com/albums/a235/ARTHILL/ Art

Great Progress Ray

I got to visit Art Borman's C&O New River Subdivision today on the Houston open house tour

It's HUGE compared to my little bedroom layout with lots of great double mainline track work

Looking good. How did you paint the clouds, airbrush?

Clouds were done with New London Industries stencils, and white and grey spray cans.

Thanks!

Hey!  What gives?!?  It's 3PM on Saturday and nobody here to show off anything.  Well it's going to a be a short weekend for this (aka: weakened....Laugh [(-D]).

I've been making labels for all the DPDT toggles that control my Tortoise machines.  And I've been busy putting them in place crooked.

Got the last of the backdrops painted (basic background sky blue):

One even got some clouds and hills, then was installed.

These backdrops hide the return loop (upper) and the staging (on both upper and lower levels) area.
