Why is it called the Utah Belt? I always thought a belt railroad ran around a city and connected with other railroads, like the Belt Railway of Chicago.I have always been a fan of the Utah Belt,I like the scenery.

I truly enjoyed the new Utah Belt article. I would love to see more "how to" articles from Mr. Brooman. He made a comment regarding handlaying turnouts, that it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it - it would be great to read a how to on how he hand lays a turnout.

I am inspired by the models of the Utah Belt. Even though I model the east coast, that region has much interest and so many things about it to put in miniature.I am excited to know that I will see it soon.

You are welcome to write to Eric Brooman in care of MODEL RAILROADER (via USPS only). Put your letter in a stamped envelope with Eric's name on it and send it to us in another envelope. We'll add the address and send it on.

Best wishes,

Andy

No, Eric doesn't have a Web page, but the December MODEL RAILROADER featuring the new UB is in the mail (or on the truck) now.

Hope you like it,

Andy
