From the far, far reaches of the wild, wild west I am: rtpoteet
Folkestone, Kent, United Kingdom
Born in Crayford, Kent (the London end of Kent) and therefore a "Kentish Man". If I had been born in Folkestone, Kent (the other end of Kent) I would have been a "Man of Kent"!! An interesting but useless fact!!
Spent my working life in the Far East - Hong Kong, Vietnam, India, Singapore, Korea and Japan - working in a bank!! Now returned and early-retired to the UK.

The Maine Central RR built the Rockland Branch in the late 1800s running between Brunswick, ME and Rockland, ME. It's new owned by the State of Maine and leased to Maine Eastern RR. Damariscotta and Newcastle are about half way between Rockland and Brunswick, and I live in Bristol which is down on the end of the Pemaquid peninsula. That's why the line under my name says what it says. We have the best lobsta on the Maine coast!

I lived on Lextington St on the West Side. I use to date girl who lived off Montvale Ave across from United Gelatin. It was years after I retired from the service that I heard about the 'superfund' on a made-for-TV movie about it. My family had moved away before it became public. However, when I did live there, my friend and I would bicycle up to Hancom Field (back when it was active) and watch the aircraft. Loved Bedford for that.

Born and raised in North Little Rock, Arkansas where the mighty Missouri Pacific used to reign.
When I left home, there were still Screamin Eagles running down the rails there. I miss the sound of those SD40-2s.
19 years in the Air Force has taken me all over the world. I just completed a tour in Europe and am now in SE Asia. I am getting close to retirement and am considering applying for a conductor billet with BNSF or UP, if I can find an opening.
Just north of Detroit MI.
A lot of rail and industry, actually more than a lot.
