The PRR historical society has two books on the Pennsy in the golden triangle and PRR in the steel city.
Golden West Books years ago had a great book on the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie but the last time I saw this book (other than the copy on my shelf that I paid $10 for) it was selling for collector prices.
My advice is to try www.bookfinder.com and search for books on Pittsburgh railroads

Morning Sun has published books on the P&LE, Union, PRR, PC, Conrail, and B&LE that have views of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. Also there is a new series of books on the P&LE Mikados, Berkshires, and gondolas that have many views around town. The publiher is Kahndog Publications, 910 Beaver Grade Rd., #1042, Moon Township, Pa., 15108, (412) 264-5799. Also available is a series of books called "Railroads of the Ohio Valley" by Silverbrook Junction Publishing,Telford ,Pa;(Vol #1,Pittsburgh to Gallipolis,Oh) and by Highland Publishers & Photographers, Cincinnati, Oh.;(Vol 4, Pittsburgh to Parkersburg,W.Va.,1968 - 1990s).The PRRTH&S books also include maps and diagrams of trackage. By the way, what era are you primarily interested in? Good luck and good modeling.
