How do we divide up are time???

I have another question that kind of relates to my other post about what other hobbies we enjoy.The question is- How do you divide you free time between trains and other hobbies?? I love racing simulators and WWII and I want to enjoy all the hobbies to the fullest, How do you modelers divide your time or do you just do whatever you want when the moment strikes. I myself go in swings one week It might be trains the next WWII , I guess I have too many hobbies.

Hope to hear some feedback

Man Jeremy........I have almost the EXACT problem. I love to do my RR stuff, love to fly online (Warbirds and WWIIOL), and love to work out. I find a lot of times that one hobby is put on the back burner for a while........while I work on the other.

Just not enough time in the day........is there :) heheheheh

Im glad to see sombody else has that problem too, I might say to myself at work that im going to go home and work on the railroad but wind up racing F1 simulators or reading a World War Two book for a couple of hours,your SOOO right not enough time in the day.

I put the latest MR in the privvy (water closet, bog, etc...). It's the only time I get to read it.

See previous thread and add messing about with teenage son's Game Cube, working, eating, sleeping, etc, although I do precious little of that last one.

That's EZ for me to answer - TRAINS is my ONLY hobby! Many years ago was also into RC planes but couldn't afford to do both, in terms of money and time. Had to choose...too many uncontrolled variables as far as participating in the RC thing, BUT I can go down in the basement, to my "world", any time of day, year, despite weather conditions, etc. So I ultimately settle on the trains.

My kids are grown and moved out, and I am on retirement due to disability, so all I have is time. And since I get so much enjoyment from trains stuff, I always have, so now my life is pretty much just trains, Trains, TRAINS!

Thats a funny thing you said about RC Planes, I actually wanted to get started in that hobby but I don't know where a good source of information is???????talk to you later Paul.

I always try to plan ahead and make realistic goals for completing projects on my railroad. At the very least I set aside on day or evening to work on the railroad. I always find that I forgot how much I enjoy the hobby if I slack off a little and then I go on a railroading frenzy! If you are the type that does work in sperts then that's fine just be sure that when you are working on the railroad that it's because you want to and you have the desire to create. Otherwise you may be disappointed in the results of your efforts.
