any model railroad decal companies in 5 years??

it is scary now that hearld king is gone and champs decals has quit making
decals. and now microscale has announced it is getting out of making decals.
are there any other manufacturers of decals left? hopefully there will continue to
be companies that will make decals for the model railroaders. otherwise i think model railroading as a hobby will continue to shrink in numbers.

I do like most people I know and make my own on my computer, I haven't bought any decals in years. With so many people doing that I guess the demand has fallen off which is why so many companies are getting out of the business?

Where did you hear Microscale was not making decals anymore?

How about this:

"Apparently, despite our best efforts the rumor mill has Microscale
Industries
going out of business. This is not the case. Microscale is, and has been, a
healthy business that prints decals for many other companies in the hobby
business, as well as our own line of model railroad decals.

These rumors have most likely started due to several of Microscale's own
decals that have been out of stock over the last two years. These shortages
have been caused by the demand from our wide base of custom decal customers.

We have addressed production problems but it will take a while for us to
catch up completely.

In November 2000 Microscale, as it has every month this year, released 6 new

decal sets as well as 46 reprints of sets that were out of stock. A list of
these releases follows.

We are happily continuing in business. Reprints are finally rolling off the
presses to meet the demand that has built up during our dry spell. New
decals
are being released each month. Microscale intends to continue serving the
hobby industry well into the 21st Century.

Thanks for your continuing support and interest.

i am so glad to hear that microscale is remaining in business and that it was just a rumor they were getting out of making decals. had that been true, it would have been a sad day for model railroaders of all scales. i think that microscale makes perhaps the best decals around. so now i can sleep easily at night knowing they are going to continue to make decals
