Jeff, I think I am using the right slang for Proto wheels.

Driline I wish you did have them but I have won 1 for $4.99 and 5 40 foot gondolas. (spell check) Loacl seller so no shipping cost.

Sunset, thanks for the posting you PM me. I will look at it a little closer later.

Did any other companys make them or only TYCO?

 Any other old Dutch cars?

They took a little work, but way easyer to work with than the Athearn 56 foot hopper I bulit. Boy they are a pain to bulid.

Looking for more junk again, Cuda Ken

Before I get any Cabosse from Mr Gibson I like the old Tyco Dutch Cleaner covered hoppers. I have 2 so far and like to get up to around 10 of them.

I have up graded mine with Kadee's cupler boxes and #5's and PK wheels and must say I like them alot. Yes, I am try E-Stupid as well and hope to win a few in the next 5 days.

I would perfer stock, but wethered and up graded would be fine as well.

 List here or PM me.

Yes MR Gibson, I know they are junk just like the other 40 feet of junk I am hauling now.

Ken,

I still have my first HO set, the Tyco Chattanooga Diesel set from the late 70s. The engine is long gone but I have the cars. One of them was this hopper. I replaced the trucks with Athearn’s / KD’s and it runs very well. Sorry, I do not want to get rid of it. It reminds me of just how far I have come.

I would look at some area train shows, I see lots of old Tyco for sale at the ones I attend.

Sounds like your having a great time, that is all that matters.

I do not know if anyone sent you this link to Tyco as well as other manufacturers. http://tycotrain.tripod.com/tycotrains/index.html
