P.S. Oh yeah! I forgot to add that my Canadian National 2-8-2 Mikado arrived just about an hour ago.

Onward and upward ad astra per aspera!

The "Short Line" appendage was added on in a whimsical manner for the amusement of my wife, Carolyn, my daughters, Cindy and Tori and my grandaughter, Brittany, for whom the C. C. T. & B. was named.

We're all doing this to have fun, right?

A 4-8-2 on a shortline?  That seems like a lot of locomotive.  Glad it's working for you.

I am one of those types who, no matter how old he gets, retains the attitude of a kid at Christmas. Christmas came today in the form of a Spectrum 4-8-2 Light Mountain Loco in Southern colors. Bachmann seems to be getting better at producing high quality steam locos all the time. I was a little leery of buying this one but Walthers had them on sale so I paid my money and I took my chance. Glad I did. This makes my second steamer on the C. C. T. & B. Short line and it's good enough that I'll try another Bachmann Spectrum soon. My only regret? That all those diesels on the roster aren't steam locos.

Now if I can only get my hands on an Atlas shay.
