Inspiration from a tourist line. (pic intensive)
Posted by dragenrider on Sunday, September 17, 2006 9:08 PM

I took the day and drove to Baldwin City, Kansas and rode the Midland RR.  It is a small tourist line with a varied collection of equipment.  The line doesn't go far, but the terrain is different and landscape fascinating.

Sometimes it can be nice to ride the rocking rails and soak in the ambiance of a little short line operation such as the Midland.  It whets the modeling appetite and provides many ideas for the old layout.

I even got to live my lifelong dream of riding in a caboose cupola!
