PA Belt, where the heck are you buying your track?
CW Clark, where were you when I was asking about the Atals track from train world 3 months ago. No one here was using it or did not see the post. They had 100 sections for $119.00 plus shipping.
Don, one step at a time. Later I will try some new trucks. I will ask about Katos and was looking at some that where listed in a Wathers catago I got with roller bearings. Wathers is having a sell and prices are still higher than my LHS. But I am having pretty good luck with cliping the horn hook coupler box, tuning the trucks, weighting the cars and and adding either Walthers metal axles or PK 2000's wheels. (like the PK's the best). Besides the MRC 2600 thottle sat me back a few buck's. Plus I need lumber, starting a new board, see details in the landscaping section. Beside, 52 cars with most being 50 footer make a pretty long train on a 19' bench.
Seems my LHS is doing me pretty good plus I have only bought 2 to 5 sections at a time. Going to ask about 100 and keep watchng E-bay for a week to see what they go for.
Thanks for the input folks.

Don't forget you'll either pay shipping or sales tax on any order. ADD a couple of KATO's trucks to your next order, and you'll forget about re-wheeling TYCO's.
Usually savings on internet shops and lack of sales tax more than compensates for the shipping charge, particularly when ordering several items or in bulk. I'm not saying you shouldn't support your LHS, though.

I inadvertanly ordered a 100 piece box of N-scale flex track, when I meant to order HO. They were glad to take it back and send me the HO track I meant to order. When I told them they had sent me 400 pieces of the N Scale track for the price of 100 pieces, they even waived the shipping charge for the HO track (I paid for returning the whole lot of N Scale track).
I've ordered from them several times, They're fast and cheap (and very fair).

I pay $2.45 per piece in lots of 10 or $2.35 each for a box of 100 pieces of Atlas code 100 flex track. Your local shops are charging full retail and idiots who pay anything over that on e-Bay have more money than brains.
My LHS sellls code 100 Atlas at what seems to be a very fair prices. I have seen listings on E-Stupid for $4.10 a section plus shipping in 10 pices lots.
If it sells for around $3.50 I could make a decent profit and I have never asked what the LHS would sell it to me in bulk. Two LHS I went to sell it for the $3.50 prices.
What do you folks think and what do you pay? Shipping would just for cost, no packing.
