I recently purchased a LL 0-8-0 and find that the tender does not pick up power , like their 0-6-0 does. Any suggestions on how to add picik up to the tender. I have also added a Soundtraxx system to the loco which works fine. But for a switcher, I can't go through switches

I have the 0-6-0, and it is great too... Wish I could get the 0-8-0...
Anyway... to answer your question - there are a number of kits around that will let you add pickups to the tender. A cheaper alternative might be to buy the tender for the 0-6-0. They were available some time ago, but I am not sure now. Might depend on which road you want, since there are about 4 versions of the 0-6-0 tender...
Have a look at www.walthers.com for a conversion kit.

Thanks Andrew.
I tried to buy a 0-6-0 tender by LL wouldn't sell me one. I'll try Walters for a kit. As a last resort I will swap one truck from each tender ..Should not affect operation.
The 0-6-0 is a much better operating unit than the 0-8-0. If I knew this I would have bought a second 0-6-0 instead of the 0-8-0
