Atlas MP15DC & Life-Like RSC2: operate well with athearn locos?

It's a roll of the dice.

SAME production run of SAME brand - and SAME model - you are pretty safe.

SOME manufacturers will incorporate the same chassis - motor/ gears/ wheel size/ lighting - into other products to save money, but as soon as there is a change in the above - all bets are off.

Best suggestion is to buy engines in pairs, or run DCC, preferably both..

does anyone know how well either Atlas' MP15DC or Life-Like's RSC2 operates with athearn locomotives? i was curious if they are compatible to be runned in lash ups with athearn units like CF7s and GP7s
