With mergers and overtakings, its hard to remember what got Union Pacific or Burlington Northern , prior BNSF, were it is today. I have planed a layout to salute the railroads of the west and northwest. I plan to build the layout when
I am 21 years old with more exprince than I have now. The railroads I have chosen are the following:
Northern Pacific
,
SouthernPacific
,
Western Pacific
, and the
Denver
&
Rio Grande
. I also plan to include the
Chicago
Burlington & Quincy
. The theme of the layout is 1950's passenger trains over west and northwestern scenery, a Colorado look,.
There will be no designated towns or states
, just a western 1950's layout.
I wanted to preserve the western apeal of railroading and this is the best way I could do this. [:)]
