Tom,
I found some of those cork sheets at Wal-Mart a couple of weekends ago. It was near the section with bulletin boards and school supplies. They are 1/4" thick and come in rolls for about $7.00 each.

Give it a little time, it looked an interesting idea to me. I would be curious to see what forum members are specifically looking for this weekend when they go down to the train shop.
As an additional note that's related to this thread...and believe me this happens to me whenever I go into a train shop or a record/CD shop...it's so easy to get overwhelmed by all the stuff when you walk through the door of a shop. So many folks when they visit here say "I always forget what I came here for".....nothing wrong with making a list! We do it for the grocery store...do it for the LHS.
In fact I thought of having some hobby shop shopping lists printed up, handing them out...to keep by your workbench, and when you run out of something, write it down then and bring the list on your next visit.
