Is or has their been anyone that has made a layout based on Chicago anywhere in Chicago? Or a Metra, CN&W, EJ&E, Soo Line, CB&Q Layout? Pics if possible..........[:D]

An L and Interurban (insul) based layout is my goal.
The L structure is a pain though.

Then do what a friend did - model the subway. Catenary IMHO is just about as much a pain as elevated structure.
