Changing couplers on an early Atlas HO Alco S2/4

Yes. You can replace the pins with screws if you tap the holes.

Changing couplers on an early Atlas HO Alco S2/4

I have an early model Atlas HO Alco S2/4 with a Roco drive.  The couplers are held in place with pins, not screws.  Are these pins a friction fit that can be removed by pulling and twisting?
