Yes I think they are Life like, fact is they are a really good deal at about $3.00 ea, you could detail the some and have a very nice car. Even with new wheels and couplers your in at well under $10 bucks
Pay attention to what you read here, you may actually answer someone's question!

I thought Industrial Rail boxes said they are from Horizon Hobby. At any rate, they have been discontinued according to a news blurb in a recent issue of Model Railroader or Railroad Model Craftsman. They were really cheap products with plastic wheels and horn-hook couplers that are very difficult if not impossible to replace. If they are a LifeLike product, the buyout of LL by Walthers probably explains their discontinuance -- not enough profit margin to suit Walthers business practices.

The HO ones I have seen are just LL in the box. Same body, same road, same car number.

Most of it appears to be based on old Varney, IIRC. This stuff has been around for years in either small cardboard boxes or 'blister-wrap'. Life-Like has also imported the stuff and sold it in their 'train set' line of goods....

"Industrial" brand rolling stock - Provenance?

I've seen a new (to me) line of rolling stock at hobby shops called Industrial Trains or something like that. They are cheap but may be useful for kitbashing. Does anyone know whose molds these are, or if they are competely original (doubtful).
Thanks
