when I order box cars ect. the mounting holes for the couplers are different . Is there a fix. I like to change some to kadee. and others to the old style atlas. . what other couplers are compatable. I have kato loco that runs like a charm and a engine i piched up at a train show for 20 dollars that runs great on about three volts and almost compairs to kato. I fuess I lucked out. my wife bought the cheapy . So give the gals a little break. hope you can be of some help[?]

Assuming you have HO.The coupler question is a very broad area and iis not as easy as one would think.
Here are a number of sites to review that will get you started.
KD coupler conversion site,they make 40 different couplers.

Generally speaking most modelers also up-grade their plastic wheel sets to metal
