Can anyone tell me if model power's 48 foot D&RGW coach and baggage cars are based on a real prototype, or are they not based on a real prototype car of that line? With walthers' 60 foot heavyweight passenger cars out of production i am going with the 60 foot life like heavy weight coach and combine i bought a decade ago and perhaps 4or 5 of model power's 48 passenger coaches. I may try and buy one or two of walthers discontiuned rail post office cars and convert one into a cafe car. Will also use a few of walthers troop sleepers, a kitchen car and one or two of walthers express boxacars rebuilt from troop sleepers.
