Has anyone read or heard anything on Allen McClelland's new model railroad. Last I heard he was going to build a new division of the V&O called the Gauley Division once he finished his move.

You are correct. That is what he is doing. I had the pleasure of attending his open house during the Spring MCR convention. The new layout is quite a bit different than the old one. There is a V&O fans group on Yahoo, we have some pictures posted from the open house.

Is Allen still accepting membership in the V&O Historical Society. How can I get in touch with Mr. McClellan, either via e-mail or through U.S. Post Office.

I eagerly look foward to the new trackplan. I am an avid Fan of Mr. McClellan's Modeling and former model railroader. Maybe when the the new layout in in a state of reasonable completion, (as no model railroad is ever truely finished) maybe Pentrex will do a DVD on the "V&O Gauley Division Premier" to compliment their "V&O Afton Division Finale" I wish Allen Luck and look foward to seeing the new track plan.

Beltline, the V&O Historical Society as such is pretty much gone. However, there is a V&O HS email list in Yahoo Groups. There are even some pictures posted of Mr. McClellend's benchwork for the new layout, etc. Most, if not all, of your V&O questions can be answered by some of the folks on that forum.

I agree with ebriley on his recommendation to join the V&O Historical Society Yahoo Groups email list. There is some outstanding information archived from past posts regarding the railroad. I can't wait for that January issue myself! Won't be long now folks.

Some of us remember when Model Die Casting offered a V&O coal hopper in HO It is the only "non-prototype" car that I intend to run on my layout.
