Female Law Enforcement figures in HO??

Anyone found/seen any female LEO figures in HO? Looking preferably for one with the State Trooper Campaign hat. But I'm not picky almost any female figure wearing a gun belt could work. I would use a standard female figure but I don't know how I would attach a gun belt and make it look right. Thanks in advance for your time.

Here's a link to some Preiser figures. The only female looks more like a meter-maid, but it's a start. Maybe you could start with a male figure and very carefully shape the torso?

I have the Preiser French (correction German Firemen in H0 to use a LEOs (because that way I get several officers in the same style in one pack).. It just dawned on me the other day that they have no side arm (DUH![:I]). I figure that most side arm holsters are no more than7" 8" long and 2" thick... about 2mm x 1/2mm. I'll try this as a smal piece of styrene sheet first... if that doesn't work I suspect that just painting it could be enough. Everything is so small in H0 figures anyway.
As for the hat... it would be expensive (given the cost of figures) but, if you can find a suitable body, I'd use the hat from a male trooper, suitably level the head of the female and find a glue to attach the hat. Finding the glue may be the hardest part.

Anyone know what glues work best for this please?

don't laugh now, but it may be easier to convert a male officer to a female. After all, a couple daps of glue here and there and a little paint?????

Hey lots of great ideas! Tks. I may try to redue a male. However I would hesitate to say to the wife (who carries a gun) "hey dear check out this female trooper I built from a male figure" She says "IS THAT SUPPOSED TO BE ME!" I say "Oh no dear, its that other trooper down the street" Yea I better stick with a female figure to start with. I like the idea of the styrene holster. It wouldn't have to be more than a bump on the hip and once painted black it would pass the 3 ft rule. Same with the hat I figured I would have to shave off a hat from one and glue it to her head. I figure reg super glue aught to work.
Again tks and I will post any results I come up with.

"This side of the pond" (East side) the female LEOs I see would need more than "a couple of daps of glue"... but then they're nearly all wearing body armour these days. From TV evidence I'd have thought that the US variety would need some remodelling in the hip area as well. (I've behaved in this comment Bergie... honestly! )

You could always go for an undercover cop...

Well I did a seach and combed thru hundres of pics of Little people and came up empty handed. Apparently women only wash clothes, shop, travel, and bask in the sun on HO earth. So I guess I will put this on the back burner for future consideration. Thanks for everyones interest.

Look for a female figure in clothing that approximates a uniform. A campaign hat can be fashioned of .005 styrene (brim) and a scrap styrene or glue crown. I have done the hat thing in N scale and it works. Fashion a holstered sidearm of another piece of scrap styrene. Paint everything the way you want it.

It's a bit of extra work, but nothing impossible.

bcawthon - That was my thought as I searched for the right figure. No where did I find any female in a pants suit sort of outfit. Almost all had a dress or shorts etc. Not a bigee. Someday I will run across just the right figure and pick it up again. Tks for your interest.

Curt - I posted a "Diorama finished" thread the other day. My wife is a FLorida State Trooper and one focal point of the diorama was a Felony stop by two State Troopers and a Deputy. I painted some policeman figures in the FHP colors and they looked good. However I was wanting to find a female figure I could convert to female Trooper.

Modifying a male figure might still be the way to go, with this sly and cunning addition.

Approach the trooper you're married to FIRST. Enlist her assistance and comments in advance. That way it becomes her project, and not a mis-perceived threat.

I too have searched Walthers and the net for suitable female figures. Conclusion: they're all Europeans... there's not one with a profile like Cagney, Lacey, Lucy from Hill Street Blues or the ladies in CSI or Law and Order. there's also a distinct lack of racial variety. (There may be the odd Angela Landsbury). I guess that all H0 model people makers are just looking at their local equivalent of Stepford... now there's a question... which RR was Stepford on?

Chuck - Thats an idea. But that said this train has all ready jumped track. I just ordered my first Bowser Loco kIt. The Lite Mikado 2-8-2. iF it goes well then I really have a hankering for the Challenger kit next. Someday I will be surfing the net and find just the right gal to paint up but for now I'm gonna build my first loco[:D][:D] They are on sale right now for 135.00 not much more than a decent plastic loco.

With a little paint, a Smokey hat and a holster, either of the ladies here could be a recognizeably female trooper. As a plus, the rest of the set could be "the usual suspects."

Mr B - Yea the one on the right might just do the trick. Actually my wife hates wearing her hat anyway. THere are like over 100 bridges here in the keys and all are windy. Difficult to keep on the head. That will save me some work. I'll post pics when I get her finished. Tks
