The Lenz decoders do not show up correctly on many DCC system program tracks. The program track needs more of a load on it for the command station to register that there is a decoder equipped loco. PLace a 1K ohm resistor accross the program tracks and it will very likely work for you.

programming problems....HELP!

I have an Atlas with a lenz leo62xf stock decoder. When I place it on the programming track, it reads an "open circuit". I know the programming track works because I powered an analog loco on it. The loco works fine on the preset address "03", except that the headlamps don't work (they worked intermittently at first, now they don't at all, but they work fine on standard DC power). I can't change the address. What could be the problem?
