I'm going to be twelve in a month. I have my own ho scale atsf layout. It's my set up. I am not helping my father or uncle or grandfather.

I am 14. me and my dad are working on a small layout in our basement. We are fairly new at the hobby, so it is a learning experience. We are having fun so far.

Hi there I am 15 years old. the layout Ihave is all mine. Some of the equipment and locos were my dad's but 95% of it was bought by me out of my pocket. It is Still small now onlly 4x8 HO scale.
Hope more young people join us in this great hobby.
Shaun
derailment? what derailment? All reports of derailments are lies. Their are no derailments within a hundreed miles of here.

I'm 16 (I'll be 17 on Aug. 26) and I'm an HO modeller and a toy train collector (Lionel, Americn Flyer, etc., etc.) and have layouts for both. I'm not sure just how many trains I have, but right now the number of engines I have is well over 100 (I'm not rich, 95% of my trains are bought used). My trains and layouts are all mine. Both my Dad and Mom are genuinely interested in trains, but it's me who started them. My Dad does play a very important role, however, since the money to pay for my trains comes out of his pocket. He has also built the benchwork for my layouts, since I really don't have any talent in that area. Otherwise, it's all me. It's really great to know that there are other people our age out there that are interested in model trains! I'm looking forward to hearing the future replies to this topic.

Most people on here are quite a bit older than me and I was wondering who else out there is in the same age group. Also, is it your setup or do you just help your dad?
