I read they spent like 5 million on it. I was wondering where all the money went? Seem like a lot for what they got. Just an observation.

getting to MS&I from downtown Chicago--from Union station (Amtrak) or the Metra station (old Northwestern)
walk about six blocks east to State St and catch a southbound #10 bus (CTA)
after downtown stops, it is an express (nonstop) to the door of the museum
fare is exact change, $1.50 each way
return to downtown is the reverse, bus runs on a 20-30 minute schedule, this info current from our visit 7-30-03
