O scale Santa Fe Stock Car
Posted by Southwest Chief on Thursday, April 13, 2006 8:40 PM
I've been looking for many years now for a quality O scale Santa Fe stock car.

So far everything I've found is not good. I'm looking for a rather drab car, no heralds or fancy lettering, but more like a prototypical stock car of the Santa Fe. Of the ones I've seen they seem to always have too much lettering, unnecessary heralds, or bright colors seemingly added just to spice up the cars looks.

Does anyone know of anything that's been made yet that is at least painted and lettered prototypically? It will be parked near some K-Line reefers so I would prefer an O-27 car.

Why can we have an overabundance of perfect cars in HO scale, yet no one to date has made anything looking prototypical in O scale? And I'm not talking about scale trucks, couplers or even a prototypical model....just the painting and lettering. Sometimes O scale bugs me [;)]
