I have tried what is known as snare wire it is thin enough but as soon as i go to tighten it so i looks thight not just hanging off of the thing the plastic snapps. How would i make the load look like it is tied down realistic and not snap the plastic on the sides?
The best thing is weathering, bury that car in the dirt in the back yard for a month, then go dig it up, weathering looks great, ala Malcom Furlow[:p][:D][:D][:D][:p]

beige Nymo thread will look like straps, or black.
Nymo is a flattened extruded non woven thread.

I bought a ho scale 60' bulkhead flat car and load (not attached). The car has places for straps to tie the load down to make it look real. Not to sure how to make the load look like it is tied down and not just glued on. I have tried what is known as snare wire it is thin enough to pass through the holes but as soon as i go to make it look like tightened straps the plastic snaps. What would i use to model the straps with to make the load look like it is tied down properly , and not snap the plastic on the sides?
