How about a plastic 2-6-6-2 (USRA or H-6)?

I just saw an Undec Spectrum USRA 2-6-6-2 in my LHS today. [:D] Awsome, totally awsome. Looks like it has the most detailing of any Spectrum steamer. Even more so than the Russian Decapod. I didn't get to see it run, but it appears super-fine. [^]

Hmmm a 2-6-6-2 sounds like someting i would look into buying.

I have read somewhere that the H5 wasn’t that appreciated on the C&O. The H5’s overall look is the same as their preferred H4s and H6s but the USRA cab is different. As a result fans can regret Bachmann’s 2-6-6-2 hasn’t the real C&O look but “c’est la vie”. I’ll buy one anyway.

I wonder if the Bachman 2-6-6-2 could be converted to a passable B&O class KK-4 (nee BR&P class LL). These engines (50 in all) were not USRA but they were pretty close appearance-wise.[8)]

You are in luck, Bachmann is comming out with a USRA 2-6-6-2. This engine was used by the C&O and W&LE. The Nickel Plate later acquired these engines from the W&LE. These engine were H-5's on the C&O. I believe Bachmann is introducing a regular and weathered version of this engine for all three road names.

I have really liked the looks of the new big steam, especially the 2-6-6-6 and 2-8-8-2, but they are too big for my layout.
My thoughts are something that would look good on 24" to 26" radius. The C&O H-6 or the USRA 2-6-6-2 are what I have in mind.
