I blew my original vinyl hose by doing exactly what the instructions said not to do. Don't wait until you too blow the cheap hose that comes with most (?) sets; go to an art supply store and get yourself a substantial hose to start with.

I agree with the comment about the braided fiber housing. Many years ago I had an airbrush with just a simple vinyl hose that ended up exploding after it had been accidentally crimped by a chair leg. The vinyl got weak where it had been crimped and a bubble developed the next time I turned on the compressor. At least now I know what an annurism is.(Artery exploding)

There is a special hose. It runs about $17.00. See http://www.badgerairbrush.com/access2.htm

I bought this hose just last week. I have the Model 200 air brush and this is exactly what I used to connect to my 1/4" NST fitting on my air supply. It is also threaded inside the 1/4" fitting to accept the small threads of the air can regulator.
About 18.00 bucks through Walthers, but I got mine at Michael's crafts.

Most new sets come with the air hose to the fitting. I have always had the 1/4" adapter supplied.

I bought a low budget Badger at "Michael's" craft store and the hose came with. I think they sold hose separately, as well.

Badger Airbrush Hose
Posted by htgguy on Sunday, April 9, 2006 8:12 PM
I am planning on purchasing a Badger 200-20 airbrush. None of the kits I have seen so far come with the hose. Can anyone tell me if I need a special hose to connect to my existing compressor and hose (1/4" pipe thread)? I want to try and order everything I need at once to minimize shipping charges. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
