Number Boards

Is it transparent decal paper?Is it sticky back or water transfer,nd where would I pick some up. There's none at my local MR shop. Do you create multiple boards per sheet or keep putting the decal shhet back in the printer?
I'll have to check around to find MS Works, I've messed around with some of the other programs and found MS Paint's font size doesn't go that small (HO).

I use Microsoft Works, I create a text box and change the "fill" to black and the text color to white, and type the number desired then print it off on decal paper.

Has anyone used the clear address return labels? Print away & see if it sticks, costs next to nothing?

Lighted boards can be made with a clear piece of styrene (either sanded, or painted white), and then black numbers placed on top. Many decal sheets include numbers for the 'boards, usually containing either clear numbers, or clear backgrounds.

True. You might be able to light behind the boards and let the white paper transmit the light. I haven't tried this, but side-effects from previous installs I've done suggest that it would work, at least with regular bond paper. I may try this with the photo paper and see if it works.

Thanks for the reply. What if you want them lighted, it would be difficult to cut the numbers out, no??

I do mine in Excel, then print them on glossy photo paper. Cut to fit, glue in with Humbrol Clearfix or Microscale Krystal Klear, and you're done!

Hi, where can I find some articles on how to do number boards. I've been searching the magazines, but haven't found one yet. Are they done on computer, or can these be bought. Any advise would be welcomed. Modelling is in Ho.
