The Bowser 4-8-4 was created by taking their Heavy USRA boiler putting it on a 4-8-4 chassis and adding their SP Style semi-venderbuilt tender. I havebeen thinking on buying a few.

1) None: it's completely freelanced.

2) Bowser. They DO have some of their own, home brewed models, and this is one of them.

Anyone know:

1) What prototype this was based on, if any, and
2) Who the original manufacturer of the model was - Penn Line or Varney?
