Beautiful, but the price makes me glad I am not a GN modeller. I remember the days before the BLI and Bachmann N&W 'J's, and the BLI A, and the upcoming Y6b, and give thanks.
What could have happened.... did.

I think that MR had a video clip of the BLI 4-8-4 on their web site. Yep, here it is:

Beautiful looking locomotive, for sure.

Time...It marches on...without ever turning around to see if anyone is even keeping in step.

According to the reports I have read in the GNRHS Goat (our quarterly mailer),
the reviews of the BLI S-2 are superlative. Excellent running qualities, unmatched
detail and sound. The power reverse functions as well. Unfortunately, I am in the
same class as most folks, I can't come near to affording one [sigh][:(] But, I'll
get over it. I have many other fine locomotives that keep me busy.

I'm curious too. I was going to buy one and then decided to go for six other locomotives instead! Now I want to know what I missed.

Does anyone on this list have any experience and opinions on the Broadway Limited Brass Museum Quality 4-8-4's? Do they sound as good as the website samples make them out to be? Are they good runners? How well do they pull? Thanks.
