Question about scales
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, July 18, 2003 5:39 PM
I am wanting to combine model railroading with commercial aviation. Can anyone tell me what airliner scale (1/100, 1/144, 1/200) works well with N Scale and HO Scale trains?

Matt--

I guess it depends on how picky you are. HO is 1/87 and N is 1/160. I suppose 1/100 and 1/144, respectively, would be fairly close.

Walthers had a DC-3/C-47 model in HO scale, but I don't know of any other commercial aviation kits in the railroad scales.

Well, if you really want to be differant, you could go with British N Scale which is 1-148 and combine with your 1-144 models, not exact but very close.
