Voted for YN2. But I prefer Chessie's colors and Family Lines colors. Wish CSX had let those roads keep their liveries.

I chose YN2 "Hockey Stick". YN3 Dark Future is OK, but it looks suspiciously like a throwback to the way C&O painted some of their early 2nd-generation EMD hood units. I liked it on them, but not as much on the CSX locos.

What's all this YN stuff. [:)]

The proper names are (as used by CSX employees):
Stealth Gray
Hockey Stick
Dark Future

I and most of my fellow employees prefer the Hockey Stick scheme, and would like to bring back the Cat.

But deep in my heart, as an Ex-Con, the Dark Future scheme is just CSX's lame attempt to imitate Big Blue. [:P]

Yn2 all the way.

- The yellow in Yn2 makes it stand out more than Yn1. With its higher visibility, Yn2 is a better safety paintscheme than Yn1. Yn2 also looks snappier.

- The Yn2 yellow is also brighter than that of Yn3, which also makes Yn2 the better scheme from a safety standpoint.

- Yn3 got rid of the grey and looks too dark. I like the grey heritage froom the L&N days.

My favorite will always be the YN2, or the Gray, Blue, with the Yellow. The scheme was original, stood out, and really looked sharp! I still remember when it was introduced back in 1987. Received plenty of positive reviews and was a welcome change from the "stealth scheme". A really nice variation occured about a decade later when the blue CSX lettering on the newer six axle units were painted in yellow.

The new dark blue, to me, is clean but "plain jane" ordinary. Nothing at all "special" or unique about it.

"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"

i voted for "YN1" although this is obviuosly refering to the many old CSX blue and grey units with a yellow nose(s) added on in later years, for that i would vote for the "stealth" paint with yellow added, it really made the schme have a whole new look, althoug most don't like the drab "stealth" grey paint i happen to.
derailment? what derailment? All reports of derailments are lies. Their are no derailments within a hundreed miles of here.

well for me ,,,,, Yn3 cause I think its a very pollished look. Clean and straight foward. The others are drab. Glad to see the Yn3. Even thuugh I thought there was nothing wrong about the Chessie logo.
