To add to this, I was planning on putting a Tsunami decoder in a brass PSC N&W 4-8-0, but I needed to verify that the Tsunami could handle half-wave lighting to the classification lights on the front of the boiler (on this engine there is only 1 wire out to the .75 mm bulbs and the other wire is grounded to the frame). I could not find anything in the manual that mentioned this so I called Soundtraxx. According to their technical support person, the Tsunami can not be set up for half-wave lighting and requires the use of the blue common wire for all lighting functions. I also checked the Loksound and MRC Brilliance decoders. Both of those claim to support half wave lighting.

This is just and FYI so that you do not fry a decoder by trying to wire the lights this way.

i guess the fix for that is to disconnect the wire going from the bulb to the frame and replace it with one going to the decoder . i also guess that this is a lot harder to do than it is to say . good luck !

Now that Tsunami Decoders are finally released ( and they are GOOD ), I highly recommend that you visit their web site at http:/www.soundtraxx.com and download the manuals. They contain a wealth of info for programming, installation and use.
