Supertrain was like the Love Boat on rails, only even more mindless. Nearly as bad as The Big Bus. And no matter how unrealistic it was, the fact that it was such a dismal bomb will keep any sort of show revolving around a train off the air for many years to come.

Of course I wasn't serious when I posted the topic, but was rather just trying to spice up a boring Sunday afternoon... Our paintball game got rained out so it's either sleep, watch TV or hang out on the forum. Guess which one I chose...

I think there was one back in the 70's. Super Train? or something like that? It's really ringing a bell.

As a bonified Star Trek fan. I find this take a little flat.

Same think I think about almost all the knock off ideas people are coming up with (a movie version of Dukes of Hazzard, Bewitched, - gag)... Can't anyone come up with a really NEW idea that is also good.

Wouldn't it be cool if they came out with a weekly TV series about a super high speed/high tech passenger train something like Amtrak (but that's always on time...) that travels across the country discovering strange new places, seeking out new cultures and so forth, and boldly going where no passenger train has gone before.
Now where have I heard those words before ?... Anyway. Whatcha think ?.
