I just moved to Alabama from south Florida, and I just realized that most of the houses around here have basements, which is a new thing for a long time Floridian. Although I live in an apartment for now, I hope to buy one of those basements soon.....hopefully with a decent house attatched.

Small Boro in North Eastern Pennsylvania. About 2 miles from the Starucca Viaduct. If you don't know what that is, it is a Stone Bridge, built in 1848-49 ? for the ERIE RR and is still in use. NS now uses it.

Well, the long horn cattle may be gone from Texas, but I bet you still have lotsa rattle snakes like we have here in sunny (all the time) Arizona. Here in Scottsdale we have no basements so I am about to build a model railroad building to house my dream layout featuring he New Haven Union Station. Any NH fan in the Phoenix metro area is welcome to join the club.

I live in sunny (most of the time) Florida. Orlando to be specific. The only drawback to living here, model railroading wise, is that there's always something to do away from home and the weather rarely keeps one homebound. Plus most homes in Fl. don't have basements due to a normally high water table so we either need a spare bedroom or the garage to build a layout.

We live in the Great Sovereign State of Colorado, birthplace of the Denver Rio Grande and Western, the home of the AFC West Champions the Denver Bronocs, our home is outside the small town of Norwood, 7500 feet above sea level in the scenic San Juan Mountains. Elk, Deer, Bear, Mounain Lion and the majestic American Bald Eagle roost in our trees behind the house. If you ever visit the Durango and Silverton Railroad
besure to follow the Colorado and Southern railroad bed from Dolores over Lizard Head Pass to Telluride ,and then explore the beauty of Norwood's cattle county. I guess you could say we live in God's County.

Massachusetts....... unfortunately. All our teams are bad, save the Pats, which "belong" not only to us but to the other five New england states. And even they've sucked lately[xx(]
Also-
>bad drivers
>high house prices
>snow
>the big dig's financial toll on everyone
>the big dig's scary leaking tunnels.

Sorry for the rant[:p]
